  • Notes: According to the entry on Nicolas Berey in the Inventaire du Fonds Français, Alexis-Hubert Jaillot became the proprietor of Berey's shop at the Quai des Grands Augustins after the latter's deat in about 1667. Jaillot kept Berey's name in his shop's sign, but he replaced it with his own on some copperplates left behind by Berey's family (IFF, Graveurs du XVIIe siècle, 1939, vol. 1, p. 364).
